Machineous, founded in 2008, is a custom fabrication and R&D company, specializing in projects using robotic CNC machining equipment for part making. Machineous focuses on the architecture and product design markets. Its main goal is to deliver highly accurate and complex fabrication solutions for different scales, materials and applications. Machineous uses large industrial robots to accomplish various cutting, milling and assembly tasks.

Machineous successfully adapted industrial automotive robotic systems to be used for any CNC type operation. A proprietary soft- ware work flow and PC based data management allows the conversion of any digital 3D design into operation ready data which is then used to fabricate components, molds, cut paths etc. using automotive NACHI robotic arms.

Machineous is known for taking on the most challenging projects in architectural fabrication and has produced complex one of a kind designs for award winning architects including Zaha Hadid, Hitoshi Abe, Greg Lynn, Patrick Tighe and Thomas Wiscombe.

Andreas Froech, founder of Machineous LLC. - Born 1968 in Vienna, Austria, he received a Diploma Engineer in Architecture at the Technische Hochschule Vienna in 1994 and a Master in Architecture from Columbia University, NY in 1996. He taught architecture at UCLA School of Architecture, Los Angeles 1997-2000 while working as a project manager for Greg Lynn FORM in Hoboken, New Jersey and Venice, California.

2001-2010 he was Director of Material Development at Panelite, specializing in the production and fabrication processes of lightweight, light transmitting honeycomb panels. He holds several US patents for the design of light transmitting honeycomb panels.
