Machineous, located in Los Angeles, is providing multi axis CNC services for the custom architectural design market. Its focus is large scale projects, produced using in-house 5 and 6 axis machining equipment. The current maximum part envelope is in the range of 22' x 5' x 10' (6700mm x 1500mm x 3000mm) for true 5 axis machining.
As a pilot project, Machineous has developed and is now providing the CNC cutting technique for production of the Blobwall - designed by Greg Lynn and exclusively distributed by Panelite - using its 6 axis robot arm. The robot arm technology was selected for its exceptional programming and physical reach flexibility when machining smaller spherical objects.
